Emerging Markets Trade & Political Risk, London
London, UNITED KINGDOM | January 18-19, 2006One Whitehall Place, London
Event Review
The gathering has quickly established itself as the premier event for the political and trade risk community among insurers, brokers, bankers and corporates.
Issues facing risk practitioners such as regional risks, premium levels, trade finance environments, trends and developments in the private market, risk management and risk pricing, reinsurance for banks, legal issues, economic meltdown scenarios and much more was on the agenda.
The whole second day was devoted to terrorism and how the trade finance market can and should approach such threats. We were lucky enough to have the BBC's senior editor John Simpson there to address delegates on his incisive insight on Middle East politics and risk.
Networking for attendees, as ever with Exporta conferences, was a priority with an evening reception laid on after the first day.
