The Rise of Resource Nationalism
London, UNITED KINGDOM | Tuesday, May 1, 2007Lord's Cricket Ground Media Centre
Event Review
Overlooking the immaculate pitch of Lord's Cricket Ground, 40 senior delegates gathered to hear the experts discuss the current situation of resource nationalism.
JLT's speaker, Nick Robson, took to the podium first to address the country risk in this concerning era, followed by a focused Russian energy risks overview by the Head of Eurasia at Exclusive Analysis. The mid-morning session reconvened with Winston Moore discussing Bolivia and Venezuela as resource nationalist models before Joseph Hurst Croft of Stakeholder Democracy Network concluded with a presentation about the Gulf of Guinea oil.
With lunch served high up in the media centre, delegates, speakers and guests continued to network before taking photos for their personal albums as a keep-sake of their visit to the famous Lords!
Description
With high commodity prices and huge exploration investment, natural resources give emerging market governments more political clout than they have ever had before. This scenario has presented investors and lenders with some significant new risk considerations at a time of huge liquidity and suppressed margins - what is the nature of this risk and can it be managed
Exporta's event, with partners Exclusive Analysis and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd, will discuss these issues in a half-day briefing at the famous Lord's Cricket Ground.
Speakers include Exclusive Analysis, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Stakeholder Democracy Network and Moore Asociados.
The delegate fee is £275 plus VAT and includes all briefing materials, networking breaks and buffet lunch.
