Trade and supply chain leaders from the North American market gathered in New York on June 9th for Exporta's 6th Annual Innovations in Trade Finance Solutions Conference, which took place at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.
Taking place at the heart of the world's economic centre, discussions centred on new approaches being adopted in times of tight liquidity, the importance of banks and corporates working more closely together, comparisons between various supply chain platforms and the role of private insurers within the post-crisis landscape.
Among the various presentations, networking sessions and panel discussions taking place was a corporate panel discussion, which included the likes of Caterpillar and Siemens and which focused on the corporate lessons learnt in supply chain management over the last two years and the role of banking partners in helping to sustain suppliers and manage risk.
Sponsored by J.P. Morgan, the conference welcomed over 100 leading trade and export finance figures, including senior bankers, corporates, private insurers, multilaterals, legal experts and third party supply chain technology providers.
