Workshop: 'Understanding Trade Finance'

Description
A unique and highly focused half-day workshop for trade, commodity and export finance professionals of all levels − either looking to revise and build on existing knowledge or for new entrants to the market to understand vital parameters of the business.
This workshop will cover four central areas: plain vanilla trade finance and documentation; structured trade, commodity and export finance; trade credit insurance; and legal issues central to trade finance.
Our four trainers are highly recognised senior trade finance leaders in their field, known for their expertise, experience and market foresight. There will be unprecedented opportunities to interact with the trainers and question them on all aspects of the market.The workshop will take place at The Grand Hyatt, Singapore, on September 9, a day after Exporta’s 3rd Annual Asia Trade & Export Finance Conference 2011 and includes a lunch afterwards. The workshop is bookable separately or as part of the wider conference fee.

*FSDF will support the trade finance workshop under the Financial Training Scheme (FTS). The training grant is 50% co-funding capped at S$3,000 grant per participant per program whichever is lower, and participants for the workshop must fulfill the below conditions:-
(1) FTS provides grants to the following Singapore based entities (“Grant Applicant”) sponsoring staff for qualifying training programs:
• Financial Institutions; and
• Other entities regulated by The Monetary Authority of Singapore (either licensed or exempted from licensing)
(2) Entities who are significantly involved in supporting financial sector activities (including industry associations or professional bodies) will be assessed for eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
(3) Sponsored trainees have to be executive level staff physically based in Singapore and involved in or supporting financial sector activities. They may be locals or foreigners, either permanent or contract staff, and engaged either on a full or part time basis.
Please note that funding support is not open to all participants. Eligibility for funding will be based on the above criteria.
